Connie Sue (Sexton) McGlone

Connie Sue Sexton McGlone, age 80, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

She was born June 28, 1945, in Kentucky to Jay Sexton and Julia Fultz Sexton. Connie was a gentle soul who found joy in life’s quiet beauties. She loved bird watching, crocheting, tending to her flower gardens, and spending time at the beach. Writing poetry was one of her favorite ways to express herself, and her creativity and love for nature were evident in everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert McGlone.

She is survived by her son, Jerry McGlone (Joyce); grandchildren, Erica McGlone, Patrick Laakkonen (Lindsey), Patricia Laakkonen, and Mason McGlone; great-grandchildren, Brett Hobbs, Caleb Hobbs, Emily Bell, and Eli Bell; and brothers, Roger Sexton and Earl Ray Sexton. Connie also leaves behind other loving relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
