Earnest Lucas

Earnest Lucas age 66 of Ashford passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, 11 a.m. at Jesus First Church of Headland. Please take any flowers directly to the church.   

Earnest was born August 31, 1958 to Verdel and Loverlee Willis Lucas.  He was born and raised in Columbia and later moved to Webb.   He worked for many years at Covenant Steel as a metal fabricator.  He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He enjoyed fishing and was a sports fanatic. He was a die hard Alabama fan.  Earnest served as a Deacon at Jesus First Church of Headland.  

He is preceded in death by his parents.  

Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Velinda Toliver Lucas and a host of other family members and friends
