Jacob Lane Dewberry
Jacob Dewberry, age 20 of Dothan, AL passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 following a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, 11:30 a.m. at Fowler Family Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain John Gormley officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Jacob was born November 2, 2003 in Opelika, Alabama to William Rayburn Dewberry, Jr and Dawn Elaine Malcom Dewberry. He is best described as being a country boy. He had a love for animals and raised chickens and other animals. He enjoyed going to rodeos, listening to country music cranked up loud. He graduated from Penn Foster High School before his 18th birthday with his High School Diploma along with a Veterinarian Assistant Certificate. He also enjoyed playing chess, riding motorcycles, working on his trucks, fishing, catching mud bugs, shooting guns, video games and watching Auburn football. Jacob was a hard worker. He began working at age 15 in several restaurants and most recently was employed at Dollar General as a stocker.
Jacob is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather William Rayburn Dewberry, Sr, maternal grandfather Marshall Darrell Malcom and uncle Marshall Darrell Malcom, II, uncle Christopher Brandon Malcom.
Leaving to cherish his memory, his mother Dawn Malcom Dewberry; dad William Rayburn Dewberry, Jr (Heather); brothers William Rayburn Dewberry, III, Marshall Dylan Malcom (Haley) and sister Scarlett Elaine Malcom; nephew Elias Timothy Malcom; niece Jane Elizabeth Malcom paternal grandmother Frances Charlene Hall; maternal grandparents Debra Malcom and Dallas William Morgan; aunt Mae Nicole Dewberry, aunt Samantha Hoekstra (Kim), uncle James Patrick Garner (Lily), uncle Dallas Lewis Morgan, uncle Jason Eric McAlpine (Cora), uncle Adam McAlpine (Wendy), uncle Daniel Malcom; great aunt Judith L. Vaughn; best friend Bryanna Rayne Grissett and girlfriend Trinity Jansen.
