Janice Kelly Denton, age 82, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, with Chaplain John Gormley officiating.
Janice was born September 23, 1943, in Alabama to L. C. Kelly and Maxine Cook Long. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed singing at bluegrass festivals, working find-a-word puzzles, camping and boating, watching Atlanta Braves baseball, cooking, and relaxing with game shows and wrestling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maxine Long and Harold Long; and her daughter, Teresa Denton.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Dan Denton; daughters, Tami McKee and Tonya Daum (Chris); grandchildren, Heather Trask (Tobias), Hillary Smith (Byron), Jeremy McKee (Haden), Michaela Donald (Tyler), John Ingram, and Ilee Ingram; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Cash, Ava, Ellie, Boone, Adelaide, Emmy, and Levi; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
