Lori Batchelor

Lori Batchelor age 57 of Dothan passed away early Tuesday morning, July 30, 2024 following a courageous battle with cancer.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024, 12 pm at Selma Baptist Church in Dothan, AL. with Pastor Travis Free and Pastor Jimmy Dean officiating.  Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.  

Lori was born December 6,1966 in Dothan.  She completed nursing school while raising three boys and dedicated her career to helping others in hospitals, dialysis, surgery, and digestive health clinics.  The concentration of her work being in kidney dialysis. She loved working with patients and brought joy to those around her.  

She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially her 7 grandchildren. Other joys were shopping, travelling, working with plants, going to the beach, watching Auburn football and Riding Motorcycle with her soulmate Daniel Danford.  She loved the Lord and was a member of Selma Baptist Church.  

Lori is preceded in death by her father Sidney Earl Batchelor; stepfather Robert Kelley; maternal grandparents Sam and Eddis Mitchell; paternal grandparents SK and Etta Mae Batchelor; daughter in law Megan Elizabeth Francis.  

Leaving to cherish her memories are her soul mate, Daniel Danford; Mother Judi Mitchell Kelley; sons Charles Nicholas Francis (Jessica), Jacob Andrew Francis, Adam Brian Francis; special daughter Ashley Brunner; brother Samuel Kendrick Batchelor (Tammy); sisters Amanda Lee Lewis (Devin), Hannah Mae Cook; grandchildren Wyatt Slade Francis, Jacquelyn Alyse Francis, Allyson Rose Francis, Tanner Adam Francis, Greyson Allen Duplesis, Teagan Elizabeth Francis, Willow Sage Francis; special niece Kayla Jade Batchelor and special nephew Samuel Kurran Batchelor; multiple other nieces, nephews and extended family.
