Mark Allan Palmer

Mark Allan Palmer, age 66, of Dothan, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Born on January 20, 1959, in Iowa, Mark was the son of the late Dwayne Palmer and Deana Palmer Hall. He proudly served in the United States Army for 17 years as an aviation supervisor and master instructor. Following his military service, he dedicated his time as the Chief Operations Officer of Unity House in Davenport, where he served as an AA sponsor and mentor to many.  He was also a devoted Christian.  

Mark had a deep love for his country and enjoyed watching old war movies, visiting aviation museums, going to the beach, watching fireworks, and celebrating America’s independence.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, David Hall; and his beloved sister, Kimberley Palmer Nissen.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jennifer Palmer; sons, Ronnie Palmer (Ronny) and Marcus Palmer; grandchildren, Shane Hoskins, Aiden Palmer, Christina Palmer, Brianna Palmer, and Elena Palmer; sister, Tina Palmer Baker; nieces, Terra Ray and Sarah Dempsey; and the mother of his children, Deborah Reyes.

Mark will be remembered for his service to his country, his dedication to helping others, and the love he had for his family and friends.
