Phyllis Carol Powell Elmore

Phyllis Elmore age 72 of Taylor passed unexpectedly Monday, January 20, 2025 at her home.

Phyllis was born September 2, 1952 in Dothan, Alabama to Lonnie and Dorothy Howell Powell. She worked as a CNA for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. SHe also enjoyed playing Bingo and other games, gardening and fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Dorothy Powell; brother Jerry Finley; sister Sandra Strickland.

Survivors include her sons Scotty Dykes (Annette), Joe Dykes and Johnny Kelleyl daughter Felicia Elmore Beverly (Chris); grandchildren Alexander Dykes, Michael Kelley (Sarah), Charlie Elmore, Catherine Elmore, Colin Elmore; several great grandchildren; sister Barbara Middleton.
