William LaVaughn Cobb
January 29, 1959 – June 21, 2025
William LaVaughn Cobb, 66, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Southeast Health.
Born January 29, 1959, in Mount Holly, New Jersey, William was the beloved son of the late John Lewis Cobb and Eliza Miles Cobb. He was a proud high school graduate and spent over two decades working as a forklift operator at the main Publix warehouse in Lakeland, Florida, retiring after 22 and a half years of dedicated service.
William enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, cheering on Alabama football, and watching classic Westerns—especially anything starring John Wayne—as well as the Pirates of the Caribbean films.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, John Cobb.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Sherri Rogers Cobb; sons Michael Cain Cobb (Jenn) and Jesse Cobb; granddaughters Lydia Cyrus, Laina Cyrus, and Pyper Whitney; brothers Johnny Cobb, David Cobb (Nancy), and Randy Cobb (Joan); and sister Rebecca Harrell (Rickey).
A visitation to honor and remember William’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
